Angela Eastman is a multi-media artist living and working in Asheville, North Carolina. Her work deals with issues surrounding the idea of beauty in our society and examines decorative and simplistic patterns as they relate to our natural and man-made environments. After receiving a degree in sculpture, Angela moved from working primarily in steel to working with ceramic forms and paper-cut sculptures. Angela now works simultaneously in multiple media focusing on achieving a balance of intention and receptivity in her work. She is intrigued by the way we define and condense our aesthetic, and her work attempts to inspire contemplation of the relationship between mystery and beauty.
